Breath of the Wild

Celer

Celer is a speedrun route creation and management engine, specifically designed for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Developed by Piston, this tool aims to make life easier for route creators (routers) by automating all the tedious tasks associated with planning a run.

What is Celer used for?

Creating or modifying a long speedrun route (such as the 100% or All Shrines categories) normally requires keeping extremely precise track of everything: how many Koroks have been collected by a certain step, how many Rushrooms you have in your inventory, whether Revali's Gale is fully recharged, etc.

Key Features:

  • Automatic counting: The tool accurately keeps track of Korok seeds, Shrines, and inventory items (like Lizalfos Tails or Rupees) throughout your steps.
  • Champion Ability management: Celer validates your strategies by autonomously checking if an ability's cooldown (e.g., Revali's Gale) has finished by a given step.
  • Side-by-side view: It allows you to display your text-based route document side-by-side with an interactive game map for better spatial awareness.
  • LiveSplit integration: The tool can automatically generate your splits file (.lss), ready to be imported directly into LiveSplit.
  • Custom scripting: Routes are written using a specific scripting system (.celer), allowing for high modularity and easy updates.
